We are well into cold weather season in the Northern Hemisphere. Cold weather photography offers lots of opportunities for unique photos, but it isn’t without its challenges. I am based in the Midwestern US, and while I have not traveled to Alaska or Antarctica, we do get our share of cold weather days. The strategies and tactics I use for cold weather photography in single-digit and 0F temperatures and wind chills can be a foundation for the temperatures you might find yourself in.
